Sensei Mason Adkins

Mason Adkins (ShoDan - 1st Degree) Began studying karate in 2010. He is the grandson of Master Doug Yates. He wanted to follow in the Yates Tradition of teaching studying and teaching karate. As a competitor he has been very successful.

He has been the All Miami Velley Tournament Association Champion for many years. Competing in Kata, Weapons Kata and Fighting. 2011 as a beginner he competed in Arlington Texas at the USANKF National Championship and brought home the Bronze Medal.

The highlight thus far was in 2017 at The USAKF Nationals where he won 3 Gold Medals becoming a National Champion. His Grandfather Master Doug Yates and Uncle Master DJ Yates are also National Champions making the Mason a 3rd generation of National Karate Champions.

In National Competition he has earned 3 Gold, 1 Silver and 2 Bronze medals.

He enjoys teaching the kids class and sharing his knowledge and experience with the younger students.
