NAIHANCHI NI DAN

 

 

Step forward with the left foot into a cosi dachi facing 12

o'clock.  Do not move arms/hands from opening position.

 

Pull up arms/hands to a position where hands are at solar plexus

height and arms are parallel to ground with elbows pointed out.

 

Look right then step right with right leg into a horse stance

facing 12 o'clock and execute a right naihanchan block.

 

Step with left foot into a cosi dachi stance facing 12 o'clock and

execute a right upper cut punch to 12 o'clock supported by the left

arm.

 

Look right then step right with right leg into a horse stance

facing 12 o'clock and execute a right naihanchan block.

 

Look right then step right with left leg into a modified horse

stance facing 12 o'clock and bring hands to waist level in

preparation for a grab.  Simulate a two hand grab and pull

arms/hands to a position where hands are at solar plexus height and

arms are parallel to ground with elbows pointed out.

 

Look left then step left with left leg into a horse stance facing

12 o'clock and execute a left naihanchan block.

 

Step with right foot into a cosi dachi stance facing 12 o'clock and

execute a left upper cut punch to 12 o'clock supported by the right

arm.

 

Look left then step left with left leg into a horse stance facing

12 o'clock and execute a left naihanchan block.

 

Step with right foot into a cosi dachi stance facing 12 o'clock and

execute a left upper cut punch to 12 o'clock supported by the right

arm.

 

While keeping the right arm in the supporting position bring left

arm down and place the left middle finger into the slot formed by

the "little" finger of the right hand fist.  Execute a right hand

middle out block supported by the left fingers.

 

Lift right leg to avoid a sweep while simultaneously executing a

right elbow strike to 6 o'clock (rear).  Immediately grab the top

of the right wrist with the left hand and bring the right elbow to

the 9 o'clock position.

 

Execute a right knife hand strike to 9 o'clock while chambering the

left hand on the left hip.

 

Execute a left cross body punch while chambering the right fist on

the right hip.

 

Step with left leg into a cosi dachi then step out with the right

leg into a horse stance facing 12 o'clock and execute a left middle

out block followed by a front double block with the left arm moving

down ward and to the inside of the right arm, ending in a left down

block to 12 o'clock as the right arm moves upward and to the

outside of the left ending in a right middle out block.

 

Execute a right upper cut punch supported by the left arm in a

cross body square block.  Immediately upon completion of the punch

bring the right fist back and insert the right middle finger into

the slot in the side of the left fist created by the little finger

as the fist is made.  Execute a left middle out block, supported by

the right fingers.

 

Execute a simultaneous left leg lift to avoid a sweep and a left

elbow strike to 6 o'clock (rear).  Immediately grab the left wrist

with the right hand and execute a forward roll of the left

arm/elbow.

 

Execute a left knife hand strike to 9 o'clock while chambering the

right fist on the right hip.

 

Execute a right cross body punch while chambering the left fist on

the left hip.

 

Step left with the right leg into a cosi dachi stance then step out

with the left leg into a horse stance facing 12 o'clock and execute

a left middle out block followed by a double block with the left

arm moving downward and to the inside of the right arm ending in a

left down block to 12 o'clock while the right arm moves upward and

to the outside of the left arm ending in a right middle out block.

 

Execute a right upper cut punch. Kiai.
